POSITION:                           Computer Engineer

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college/university.

 

Months/Years of Experience:  Two (2) years of applicable experience.  Applicable experience includes performing software development, analysis, integration and related functions research, development, test and evaluation in support of military equipment and systems, analysis and design of application interface and integration; translation of user requests and processes into detailed functional and technical specifications; and development of interface specifications, guidelines, reporting, policies, procedures and system documentation.

 

Required Qualifications:  Full proficiency with Linux.  Experience with integrating and operating hardware and software real-time hardware-in-the-loop environment required.  Work as a team member in a collaborative effort, taking initiative at times when direction is implicit.  Be flexible to changing work environments and tasks.  Willingness to work overtime and weekends if necessary.  Up to 10% travel possible.  Ability to follow safety guidelines and Standard Operational Procedures.  Must be a U.S. Citizen.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance.     

 

Duties:  Responsible for assisting with software and hardware development, integration and maintenance of aviation and missile based test-set platforms.

 

Desired Qualifications:  Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience.  Proficiency with Qt Framework.  Gnuplot and Matlab experience.  TENA development & troubleshooting.  Agile software development method familiarity.  Familiarity with 6-Degree of Freedom (6-Dof) software development and operation a plus.  Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA, GitHub, GitLab, or similar software development tools.  Experience with Concurrent RedHawk Linux.  Familiarity with Army Aviation testing and/or simulation.  Expected to periodically participate in cross-functional training activities performing engineering tasks in support of other test programs.  Experience with Electro Optics and/or Infrared technology or sensors.
