AI Signal Research, Inc. (ASRI) announces new Test, Innovation, Engineering and Research (ATIER) Center

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., September 26, 2025AI Signal Research Inc (ASRI) is excited to announce formation of our new ASRI Test Innovation, Engineering and Research (ATIER) Center based in Huntsville, AL. The ATIER Center represents an intentional focus on advancing cost-effective state-of-the-art Test & Evaluation (T&E) instrumentation and technology solutions in support of our military multi-service test range customers. ASRI is in a unique position to optimize solutions from common requirements across these multiple customers balancing lessons learned, consistent approaches, commercially available technologies, and innovative applications to deliver cost effective capability solutions.

The ATIER Center is led by ASRI’s Senior Technologist, Mr. Mike Krause, a former Government Senior Science and Technology Manager (SSTM) with over 35 years of civilian technical leadership and Military service experience in T&E technology and operations. “Now more than ever, our customers must rapidly deliver effective, innovative capabilities to our Warfighters. The ATIER Center will contribute to our customer’s mission success by providing exceptional expertise and infrastructure to solve complex technical challenges.”

ASRI is also thrilled to introduce two new ASRI Technical Fellows that will underpin the ATIER laboratory capability:

Mr. Bill Barber joined ASRI in July 2025 and brings a wealth of experience in the Structural Dynamics T&E discipline. Bill has been on the leading edge for over 30 years as a Senior Army Experimental Developer advancing capability in areas such as complex multi-degree of freedom vibration test methodologies. Bill has published over 15 technical publications and actively participates on several National and International Standardization Committees including MIL-STD-810, NATO Mechanical and Climatic Action Team (MCAT), and NATO Safety and Suitability for Service (S3). “The ATIER Center presents a unique opportunity to leverage ASRI’s deep expertise, advanced PC-Signal analysis software, and NASA-driven applications to develop innovative test tools and methodologies — empowering our customers to tackle even the most complex testing challenges with confidence.”

Dr. Scott Wolfson joined ASRI in September 2025 bringing over 30 years of recognized Government wide subject matter expertise as a Senior Army Experimental Developer in Advanced Test Instrumentation. Scott is credited with numerous innovative solutions in areas spanning custom missile instrumentation miniaturization using Multi-Chip Module (MCM) design techniques, new algorithms for data analysis and alternative GPS technologies. His research work has been featured in peer-reviewed microelectronic journal publications, missile telemetry conference proceedings, and test technology patents. “I’m excited to be a part of the team at ASRI and I look forward to contributing technical expertise on impactful projects, collaborating with peers throughout DoD and mentoring the next generation of technology-inspired engineers.”
